Youth snowmobile clubs are becoming popular and are being encouraged by the Association of Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC) with the goal for each county to have one or more youth-specific clubs to choose from. To that end, an AWSC youth representative has been elected in participating counties to represent their county at the state level and assist in county-wide club activity.
The youth clubs plan their own activities which includes trail rides, overnight trips, fund raisers, etc. The Youth Snowmobile Clubs are generally open to those 12-20 years of age that hold a valid Wisconsin Snowmobile Operators Permit. All youth are invited to join a local youth club in their county. These clubs have adult advisors to guide, advise and to encourage them.
We are happy to say that Krysten Seefeldt, a member of the White-Out Youth Riders Snowmobile Club, represents Fond Du Lac County as the ASWC Youth Representative. As more youth clubs are set up in the county, Krysten will be there to represent them. You can reach at Krysten Seefeldt at (920)948-9755 kseefeldt@hotmail.com
